Los Angeles masonry is truly a family business to me as I am a 3rd generation brick mason. My grandfather was born in 1900 and started laying bricks in the streets of Philadelphia for a penny a brick during the great Depression. He then started his own masonry company. My father learned the masonry trade from his father and then went on to work on many residential and commercial masonry projects in both Ohio and Los Angeles. My brother is a general contractor and I helped him run his business for seven years. I learned many valuable lessons working for him such as the customer always comes first and to take pride in every job we do. He taught me the importance of respecting the customer’s property by keeping the work area clean and safe.
