Ray, of Superior Home Inspections is very professional. As potential homeowners buying from an out of state location, we relied on Ray to provide us with his typical in-depth report missing nothing. That is exactly the service he provided.

Through out the process he was diligent and honest and very detailed and we appreciate that service. Unfortunately, we did not buy the house but it was in large part to the report Ray provided. We were enlightened to substandard construction issues that on our own, we would not have realized.

We recommend Ray highly.

Ray was amazing. My husband and I are first time home buyers. I called several companies to get information and Ray was the only one who answered my questions and took the time to talk with me. He was very professional on the job site and very informative. He met us on site and talked us through the entire process. He answered all of our questions clearly and truthfully. He also gave us advice on maintenance (in and outside of the house) and energy saving. We definitely recommend him and will use him again in the future.

This is the worst inspector I have contacted. Rude and disrespectful. Will never use their serves.

I called Ray because of the good reviews I read on this site and I am glad I did! Don't let his youthful appearance deter you. He was thorough and knowledgeable, but not a know-it-all. He was eager to explain his findings and welcomed my questions. He was friendly and punctual (actually early). Also, I found the price of his inspection to be very reasonable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I recently closed on a property in Ga.

It is a newly built house and thus, I did not think that a home inspection would be necessary.



My agent recommended Ray/superior home inspections.

There were a few minor issues found around the house.

But then Ray noticed mold in the basement and gave us recommendations for treatment.



The cleanup process would have cost me thousands of dollars if he did not bring it to our attention prior to closing.



The inspection process was very thorough.

He took time to explain what he was looking for during the inspection.

The detailed report was professional as well.



I would recommend Superior Home Inspections/Ray without hesitation.

We relied on Ray, his expertise, and tremendous knowledge of mountain cabins in the Blue Ridge area for a complete and thorough inspection. Ray pointed out the obvious issues of any home with wear and tear but even more so the health hazards in plain sight as well as hidden! Ray's background of being a former contractor was most impressive when completing the inspection. Ray saved is $7500 and lots of headaches down the road!! You get what you pay for!!!

Ray was very thorough and most helpful both during and after inspection. He even answered questions I had concerning the inspection of my previous home. Ray offered tips on preventive maintenance around the house and walked me through the entire inspection. I was not expecting that but was very pleasantly surprised and found his ideas to be excellent advice. I would not hesitate to use his services again and highly recommend him. We are very happy with his inspection and report!

As I searched for an inspector, I kept seeing great reviews about Ray at Superior Home Inspections. It turns out those reviews were right! Ray was very thorough. He didn't leave out one detail, not even small things! He walked us through the entire inspection and gave us great details about the home as we went. He took his time explaining everything to us in great detailed and never made us feel rushed. Just a few hours after the inspection we received a very detailed report of our inspection with pictures by email. It made it so easy to go back and review the inspection with our realtor and the home owners. It really paid to research companies prior to the inspection. I highly reccomend Ray. Should I ever buy another home I will only call Superior Home Inspections. In May 2010 we wanted to purchase a town home which had significant water damage at the back door. We were afraid this might have been a huge structural problem. We hired Superior Home Inspection to inspect the home. Upon receiving his extremely detailed report it was great news. In his report there were no other problems noted and he advised the water damage was due to a very minor problem which he recommended how to fix. He was so professional in every way and we were very impressed with his report. We decided to trust him and we purchased the home, followed his recommendations in the report and today are the extremely happy owners of a town home!

My husband and I were wanting to purchase a rental home in February 2010. It was an older home and we had walked through it and felt it was a good deal for the price and came up with our own list of what we felt needed to be fixed. However, just as a precaution, we asked Superior Home Inspections to take a look and give us a full report. I'm so glad we did. They were very honest and pointed out a lot of things that we had failed to notice. He even gave estimations of when things would need to be replaced such as roof, heating & air system, etc. His detailed report helped us make a very informed decision NOT to purchase the home. Superior Home Inspections was called to inspect a home for us in October 2009. We had no prior experience of what a home inspection consisted of. Wow! Were we surprised! Ray, the owner, was extremely thorough and inspected every inch of the home inside and out. He gave a detailed report which even included things that were in good condition on the home. This report included pictures of the things he felt needed attention. He even gave a suggested solutions and provided a list of contractors that were qualified to fix the problem. Ray made us feel very comfortable buying the home. Although there were things that needed attention and to be repaired/replaced, knowing that up front we were confident we would not be hit with any surprises once we purchased the property. Due to our contract restrictions, we were in need to schedule the inspection quickly. Ray was very accommodating and worked with our tight time restraints. We received the written report within 24 hours. We highly recommend having Superior Home Inspections look at ANY home you are contemplating purchasing . . . even if there are no obvious flaws. The peace of mind is well worth his modest fee!

Ray had to perform 2 inspections for us due to the fact that the first home we were looking to buy ended up with many issues (which Ray brought to our attention) that would have caused us thousands of dollars to fix (thousands of dollars we wouldn't have had). We were so pleased when he inspected the second home and found minimal and easy to fix issues. Ray provides an awesome report with great pictures with suggestions. I wouldn't suggest using any one else. He's professional and personable and we still contact him for suggestions and advice on contractors to use for home improvement projects. Thanks Ray!

We hired Ray to inspect two homes for us. We loved the first home, but because Ray's so thorough and knowledgable, he was able to find and point out critical issues that we were not aware of. His report was key to our decision not to purchase that home. Ray's reports are very detailed and his pictures excellent. Because of his expertise and easy to understand reports, we thoroughly trusted him to inspect another home for us, even though we couldn't be present for the inspection. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent home inspector.

Superior Home Inspection did an excellent job. He was able to inspect our home in a timely manner and arrived at the agreed upon time. He was extremely thorough and inspected every detail of the home. He supplied us with a 32 page report including pictures and recommendations of areas of concern. Upon request he supplied us with names of area contractors to address the areas of concern. One very impressive thing was the professional written report. Not only did he report on areas of concern, he also stated things inspected that were working properly. He also listed those things that he was not able to inspect. For example, the water was not turned on to the home in time, therefore, he was not able to report on the functionality of the dishwasher, however, noted in his report such and also stated it was getting power. We were able to look at the report and know exactly what was inspected and what the outcome was - good or bad.



The price was comparable to others in the area. I was extremely pleased with his professional demeanor and vast knowledge of local standards and codes. He allowed me to stay with him during the inspections and was willing to answer any questions I had. I will most definitely use Superior Home Inspection for any future needs and highly recommend anyone in need of this service to call Superior Home Inspection first.

I was delighted with the home inspection Ray provided for me. He arrived early to the work site and spent nearly three hours crawling around underneath, on top of, and inside the house.
