Sutter County Mental Health provides psychiatric services to individuals and families experiencing mental health problems. Also known as Sutter-Yuba Mental Health Services (SYMHS), it provides psychiatric emergency services; inpatient services; outpatient treatment for adults, families and youth; day treatment; children s system of care; drug and alcohol abuse programs; and its homeless mentally ill program operated by the Salvation Army. Most services are provided at the SYMHS facility located at 1965 Live Oak Boulevard in Yuba City, Calif. Psychiatric emergency services are available without cost to the user. Fees for all other services are based upon the client s ability to pay. Sutter County Mental Health accepts most medical insurance, Medi-Cal and Medicare.
