Never Hire a Comapany that doe...

Never Hire a Comapany that does shoddy work, T.L. Consolidated Painting was recommended by a very good friend and I hired them to paint my house and seal my roof.

On the first day work began, I went on the roof to see what was getting done on the damaged parapets and noticed the employees applying Endurapatch with a paint brush on cracks and not removing the severely damaged areas and replacing it with new stucco in those areas, as initially promised. It was agreed that all areas where stucco was removed, they would apply new stucco. When I asked the employee why are'nt you removing damaged stucco and replacing with the correct product instead of Endurapatch they needed to use DriveIt his response was: "this is the material I was told to use". That was my first red flag so I had to keep an eye on them but could not at all times.

All debris from parapets was left on the roof and sprayed over when the initial first coat was applied. When I wanted to inspect the roof that day I was told it was too wet. Upon checking the roof a few days later, I noticed that all the loose debris from removing damaged stucco and the product Driveit that dripped on the roof while repairing the parapets was "Glued" to the roof, and that only one coat had been applied- and VERY POORLY. I was still able to see the old silver roof coating. I then contacted another contractor to inspect the roof and his finding was that the debris left on the roof was shoddy and unprofessional and that the Mil finish thickness was inadequate.

I Contacted T.L. Consolidated Painting about my concerns and their employees came out a few days later to clean the mess and scrape DriveIt Material that was glued to the roof and roll another coat. After another roof coating was applied, I contacted the other contractor to reinspect the roof and his finding was the areas where DriveIt was removed had been scraped off to the original roofing material without any roof coating, and that in order to correct the problem the areas below the parapets needed to be sealed several times. The inspectors finding on the rest of the roof and the measurement of the mil finish thickness was still inadequate, and that another layer of roof coating should had been applied.

I filed a compaint with the Arizona Registar of Contractors and requested that T.L. Consolidated Painting can not be trusted to repair the damage they caused on my roof and would rather hire a reputable company.

In my opinion TL Consolidated ...

In my opinion TL Consolidated Painting (with is a home-based outfit) is all about making a quick profit without necessarily do the best job. These clowns painted my house in about 3 hours. Nobody can do a quality house painting in 3 hours. To say the least, I was weary when they came over to paint my home on what was a very gloomy day - it actually ended up raining as they finished up. The professional thing to have done would have been a re-schedule for better weather. Anyhow... They did want some in the business refer to as a "stray and dash." These guys did a quick power washed and immediately began spraying "very very" watered down paint on my house. Clearly it was all about doing the job done as quickly and as cheaply as possible. As a customer, is this what you want done?
