TECO has the worst customer service I have ever seen. Yesterday they shut off my power and put a pink cap on it. I called TECO and they said they had no record of my power being turned off. They filed a report to turn it back on after I blew a gasket. I informed them that there was a new baby in the house and they said well we aren't showing your power was turned off so we have to investigate it first, at 5:55 last night (conveniently 5 minutes before they close) they informed us that there were 27 people ahead of us, but power should be on by 7:30 P.M. (that was a laugh). The power was restored at 9:10 last night. One service rep had the gaul to tell me to take the baby outside. This is not an acceptable response to a situation like this.
