Target Medical Inc.   A Brief History   Tom Brockway invested in the latex exam glove market in 1988 when the medical industry first decided that was the best way to combat blood born illness.  He continued to exclusively sell gloves until 1992 when Target Medical decided to carry Adult Briefs, Wound Care, Urological and most other disposable products that Nursing Homes use. In 1996 Target Medical began selling Durable Medical Equipment, later called Home Medical Equipment.  In the following years contracts to provide HME and Supplies to insurance agencies were added, insurance agencies such as Medicare, TennCare, and most private insurers.  Along the way Target Medical added several other products like Commercial Cleaning Chemicals, Floor Care, and Paper Products to round out the product line. Target Medical Inc. has possessioned it self to take a commanding role in the region as the dominate carrier of HME and Medical Supplies.
