Do NOT rent from here. I had multiple problems not with just the apartment but the apartment manager Haily is a horrible person and very very very unprofessional. I had already lived there when she took over managment and my paperwork had been misplaced. I signed three different leases in front of her and she never filed them. I called to get some work done on the apartment. The dishwasher had stopped working, and just some general maintenance she never responded and when I called back the next day she yelled at me for making demands and I had no right to make such demands since I was not on the lease. Needless to say nothing ever happened to getting the problems fixed. I moved out and I wouldn't advise anyone to live there. It's not worth it.

I swear to you, that this is t...

I swear to you, that this is the absolute worst place I have ever rented. If you doubt me on anything I say, I will honestly welcome you to take a tour of my apartment before renting here, and I will prove it to you. Where do I begin...

They showed me a newly renovated apartment (renovated very cheaply and poorly I might add), and then on move in day they decided to swap me into a different apartment altogether. On a friday no less. I began moving in at 5pm on a friday, after the office was closed, and couldnt even go to the office and complain, or attempt to get out of my lease, or have my apartment switched to a cleaner one, because the office was closed all weekend. By monday, I already had moved everything in and it was too late to back out. Nice.

The apartment was filthy. When I say filthy, I mean: Cockroach corpses in the cabinets. Raw food on the sides of the refrigerator and inside the fridge. The fridge stunk of the foulest odor. The dishwasher didnt work properly and had leftover silverware from the previous tenants. There were holesi n the walls and there was a broken closet door. The blinds were melted from the heat, and werent replaced until months later. The kitchen cabinetry is falling apart, has holes in it in certain spots, and I was forced to stuff a washcloth in the hole to preventmy cat from climbing into the actual structure of the cabinetry. Water damage can be seen in multiple placesi n the house. The ceiling leaks, even on the ground level (the airconditioner in the walls leak and so there is water damage in my ceiling from the upstairs tenants airconditioner. There is no central air and you aren ot allowed to put in a window airconditioner no matter how hot the other rooms get!) The oven is so heavily caked in grease that it cannot be cleaned. Period. I even bought a drillbrush and a steel wire brush and it just will not come clean whatsoever. It is utterly disgusting. The shower had an incredibly aggressive mildew that had grown inside the caulking, the drains, and the corners of the tub which ruined three shower curtains of mine already (it has been over 6 months since I first requested the caulking to be replaced, and it is just being repaired NOW)

The community manager quit her job a month after I moved in and the office had NO STAFF at all for an entire month. No maintenance guy, nobody to cash rent checks, nothing. The new community manager was even worse than the previous one.

ANY request for maintenance beyond something simple like a leaky toilet takes days to complete. There is only one severely overworked maintenance guy who spends all day long running back and forth to all the apartments to fix the 30 year old airconditioners that break down every month or leak water into the living room. The pool is green half the summer because they just dont care enough to maintain it. The landscaping is outsourced to a private company that does a decent job, but trash can regularly be seen in the streets and the apartment corridors unless the community is advertising new leases, in which case they actually clean. The rest of the time, you better get used to cleaning your own outdoor area yourself.

Gah!

Probably one of the best apartments (especially for its cost) in Chickasha. But that's not saying much.

It does not have central heat/air. It has a single air conditioning unit in the living room. Hope you didn't want to feel cool in the bedroom during the summer!

My particular unit has had multiple problems. Remember that air conditioning unit? Mine can only cool the apartment down by 10 degrees compared to the outside temperature. That's fine when it's 80 degrees outside, but when it's 90 or 100+ degrees outside. (Did I mention that I moved in when we had 100+ temperatures for a couple of weeks straight?) This made the apartment unbearable.

There are water issues, but that may be a Chickasha thing. Chunks of white matter come out of the bathtub faucet. If you want to take a bath, hope you're not squeamish!

There are randomly occuring water-pressure problems. Sometimes the shower's fine, sometimes it just dribbles.

I have encountered water temperature problems as well. You can't take a hot bath in my apartment (even if you can get over the floating chunks of white stuff) since the water stops being hot after it fills the tub up an inch high. The water from the sink faucets strangely will stay hot though so if you have nothing better to do, you can fill up the tub from water from the sinks, transferring the water by using bowls or somethins similar. (Generally not worth the effort.)

And don't forget, close proximity to the train tracks. Do you like hearing train sounds at all hours? I should hope so.

On the other hand, the management is exceptionally nice, and this is still probably the best apartment you can get in Chickasha. But then, this is Chickasha.
