Provided by YP.comTriangle Towing owners Scott and Laura Snuvernick and Campus Realty owners John and Lois Stegeman have an illegal towing scam at 520 South Forest Avenue in Ann Arbor Michigan. Michigan laws says signs have to be posted and prominently displayed at designated vehicular access points. This is a large parking lot with no signs. Tow truck drivers watch people park and then tow them immediately. How do they get away with this? John and Lois Stegeman own part of the road in front of the parking lot. They put signs on the street, but no one knows these signs also cover the parking lot. These road signs, however, do not satisfy Michigan law because signs have to be prominently displayed at access points. This is so manipulative its stunning. The Ann Arbor Police and City Government are part of the scam, refusing to rectify the situation and being abusive to anyone who tries.

Provided by YP.comTo anyone looking for a towing service, BEWARE of this den of thieves. I'll make it brief. I'm from out of town, visiting friends and meeting family for a Christmas Exchange. I park near Cottage Inn Pizza on East Williams. I DID park in a marked spot. I'm wrong. What did it cost me? $220. CASH. Triangle Towing towed my family vehicle, loaded with presents and personals, around 8 pm. Luckily I caught the tow truck driver on another pass through the lot. I noticed my vehicle missing, stopped the driver, asked for help...HE REFUSED but managed to shove a business card out the window and said that's all he knew about the situation. I called the number, got a pile of crap from the guy on the phone and he informed me I needed $220 CASH ONLY. I told him I'd try and get there in around 10 minutes, figuring the cab driver would be quick. I arrived 20 minutes later (cab driver knew the Triangle name and only charged me $5 off of his $8.5 meter because he knew of the crooks). I called the phone again. Guy told me I was late and he'd see what he could do to get the driver back in the next 20-25 minutes. I walked back and forth in a dark, no traffic area in a city I have no bearings for, with a pocket full of cash, and waited for 25 minutes. The driver finally shows up...same guy who flipped the card out the window, and opens up the front door to collect my $220 CASH ONLY. Writes a receipt: $55 for dolly (my car was Backed in a spot, easy to get at), $95 for towing charge...$40 for what was called "Michigan Fee, $20 storage Charge, and $10 for the Ann Arbor Police Department (imagine that). Very nice. Three days before Christmas. I, of course, don't say a word, knowing the Idiot in the truck will just lock the door back up. I ask if I should check it for damage....he says "that what you pay the big bucks for." I wish him a Merry Christmas. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. I will make a very concerted effort to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Triangle Towing is run by scumbags.
