True Abundance Property Management

We were looking for a two bed/two bath in the Greeley area. When we called, the woman who answered the phone was rude and unknowledgeable. First, she advised to look at the properties on the website, but then later said that the website was not updated and most of the properties had been rented. A complete wast of time and energy. A property management company is responsible for finding a home and they are the ones you go to when something happens to said home. At the very least, they should know what they are talking about, and a LITTLE courtesy would be nice!!

Provided by YP.comTrue Abundance (TAPM) is THE most unprofessional property management company in Greeley. I've had many good experiences w/other management companies but can say nothing good about True Abundance.
My 2 roommates & I rented a cute little house in the summer of 2009. We were never given a check list to indicate the existence of previous damage. Additionally, they gave us 1 key, & told us we would have to make copies for each of us to have them. We got into the house & found the kitchen in a deplorable condition. There were dishes in the cupboards & under the stove. These were not clean dishes however, rather they were caked with old food & grease. The kitchen had not been swept nor mopped prior to our move in & we found trash in the pantry. When we informed TAPM about it, they only offered us a $50 credit to our account. The amount of cleaning I had to do would've cost over $100 from any cleaning company. That was the start of our troubles.
Each of our bedroom doors had locks on them, however TAPM never gave us keys to them. One night, my roommate accidently locked herself out of her room. We called to see if they might have copies of the key, and we were greeted with rudeness & short tempers. They stated to us that Colorado requires each tenant to have a locking door. When I asked what the point of a locking door w/no key was, they informed me that though the law required locks, they were not required to supply us with keys. I could not believe the lack of common sense. I'm not sure what the current laws are regarding doors w/locks on them, but I'm pretty sure that if what they said was true, then it would make sense that keys be supplied as well. As an alternative, they offered to open it for a fee.
1/2 way through the year, TAPM rented the basement to a couple. Sounds like no big deal right? The husband was a criminal & the wife was clinically insane (she took anti-psychotics, as previously explained by the husband). The husband had sureno gang tattoos on his face (3 dots near one eye & 1 by the other).
They ended up calling the cops on us one night b/c we had 3 other people over to watch a film. They then had the audacity to begin selling & smoking dope downstairs. Sketchy people constantly were going in & out of the basement. When we complained to TAPM, we were informed there'd be a search. 3 days prior to the search, I got a knock on the door. It was the wife, crying & accusing us of harassing her & her husband. She told us that TAPM called & said that we'd accused them of committing criminal acts, & for doing drugs (while this was true, True Abundance should've never placed us in such a situation). These people were scary, & now they had fuel for retaliation.
When it came to maintenance, TAPM was VERY slow to respond. For example, we had a door that didn’t fit properly. When winter came, cold air came through which raised our heating bill. We informed them of this in the summer when we moved in, they fixed it in December.
When our lease was FINALLY up, we left the house in far better condition than when we arrived. We took time to putty & paint over every nail & tack hole, to deep clean everything, & when all was said and done, we didn’t receive even 1/2 our deposit back. TAPM claimed that we owed money for utilities which I remember writing a check for.
Moral of the story, they will rent you a dirty unit, put you & your loved ones at risk, and take your deposit.
Save your money, and the hassle, rent from Tanager Management instead. I lived w/them for over 4 years. Never had a problem that wasn't properly resolved & their level of professionalism is leaps & bounds better than True Abundance could ever hope to be.
