Provided by YP.comMy mom was in a nursing home under hospice care so I was unable to schedule an electrician during regular hours as I needed to attend to her needs first. At about 3:00 on Dec. 22, 2016 I called Mr. Waldron's company to repair a corroded bolt at my meter. My power company had already been to my home a restored partial power, and explained the problem to me. I relayed this information to Mr. Waldron via telephone and he told me that it sounded like a big job and would take about a week at a cost of $6,000 to $8,000. He arrived shortly after 5:30 and without looking at the problem asked for my credit card, went to his truck and put $8,000 on my card which still remains. He then went to the meter and began working. He left shortly thereafter and purchased the bolt necessary, returned, and my power was restored about 9:00. He told me the following day he was here until 1:00 a.m. which I take at his word as I was asleep. On Dec. 30, 2016 I received via certified letter the contract I was to sign and initial. He told me he did not have the necessary paperwork in his truck when he arrived, so no contract was signed. I was also to note that this was only a temporary fix and would cost another $5,000 to complete. Mr. Waldron had been to my home 2 other times, once for an estimate on upgrading a box in my basement and another time to find a short in a plug. I did not use his company, but had the work completed. My home had recently had an addition put on about 13 years ago and all electrical was upgraded. It is state of the art commercial. I had another electric company to my home to give me an estimate on finishing repairs. Sargent Electric estimated the temporary work done by Mr. Waldron completed in off hours to be $780 and the miscellaneous material to be $80. Their cost to replace the 400amp meter socket including electrical inspection and power disconnect and reconnect fees to be $1,600. I am pursing legal action if necessary.
