- What to Expect for your Interior Painting Project 1. Move all Furniture and Items a safe distance from walls and remove all outlet / switch covers. This includes removing artwork and window treatments. By creating a walkway around the room we can work quickly without risking an accident. 2. Protect all furniture and floor surfaces with drop cloths and plastic sheeting as necessary. 3. Apply Tape to all baseboards and woodwork details that require it. Begin patching all dings / dents in drywall with a second coat patch to fully restore your walls surface quality. Patching is sanded and vaccumed before finish work starts. 4. First Coat brushwork includes cutting in around all doors / windows and the edges of the room. First coat application of paint to prime patches and ensure true color second coat. 5. The second coat goes quicker and is always applied "Wet to Wet" to fully blend paint as it dries preventing flashing or changes in paint appearance. The second coat is done one wall at a time. 6. As the paint dries we work to clean up our equipment and wash our brushes after all touch ups have been completed.
