West Chester Silver Strings
West Chester Silver Strings begins its twelfth year of classroom instruction and performance opportunities for children in the greater Cincinnati area. In the Beginner classroom, as students learn to read music, and play and care for their instruments, they are also instructed in performance etiquette. Intermediate students continue to build their skills as they take on more challenging pieces of music. High school student mentors aid younger students in learning their instruments. Last fall the Advanced students began the season with a joint concert alongside the West Chester Symphony Orchestra at their “Fall Spooktacular,” held at the Muhlhauser Barn. Other performances that showcase Silver Strings students include holiday concerts for the community, The Greater Cincinnati Fine Arts Fund Sampler weekend in the spring, and the Award Concert and Dessert Buffet held in May. We're looking forward to a great season again this year, providing music rich, educational, and socially entertaining activities for the children of Lakota, and the West Chester Community at large.
