I had Wire 4 Hire put in some new electrical outlets for me in my old home. The guys were knowledgeable, got the job done quickly, and even cleaned up after themselves. If you have an old house, these are the guys to call.

When I called wire for hire to schedule a job to have a few lights installed, everything seemed to be ok in the beginning. Once the workers arrived to my house they tracked mud into the living room. Also the workers appeared to be struggling installing a simple light fixture.

I was not too pleased with the the work done by this co. The employees were not very educated and the the overall prices were higher than expected.

Above ground pool electric install

I installed an above ground pool this summer and needed an electrician to run the electricity to the pump. Unfortunately, every electrician I spoke with was busy with a 3-4 week lead time before getting to my job. Wire for Hire was able to do it that week, however I paid--BIG TIME. Their pricing was by far the highest. They installed a new circuit at the panel and then ran wire across the basement (through drop down ceiling - very easy)the whole length of the house. From there, they took it from the garage wall to the pump at the pool. This was a length of about 2o feet. Mind you that I was the one who already had the 18" required trench waiting for them to run the wire to the pump. They hooked it up to an outlet and grounded it to the pool. This took them a total of 3 hours, and they charged me $870 - way over priced. My original quote was 500-800 bucks. The installer said the job couldn't have gone any smoother/quicker..yet I was charged $70 over the largest quote. Definitely go with another installer if you're not looking to get over charged.
