Highland Park Elementary provides educational services to students in kindergarten through grade four. Its music program provides instruction in vocal and reading music and rhythmic activities. The school offers a supplemental accelerated instruction program that addresses students needs on an individual basis. It provides special programs for gifted and talented, homeless, bilingual, migrant and dyslexic students, as well as students with limited English proficiency and disabilities. The school s library is a learning laboratory that has a collection of books, computers, magazines and other reference materials that are available for classroom assignments, projects and reading pleasure. Its parent-teacher association supports various student activities. Highland Park Elementary is a part of the Nederland Independent School District and is located in Nederland, Texas.
