I was called after 3 days that my car was ready. I picked the car up & drove it 10 minutes home. The next day (Saturday) I went to start my car & it wouldn't turnover. I called the collision center & left a message since they were closed & requested they call me Monday morning. I never received & a call Monday so I called again. They shop told me "well the car worked when you picked it up" I drove the car all of 5 miles. I called my insurance Liason & he made Kovatch send out a tech to my residence bc Kovatch refused to have it towed back to be diagnosed. They Tech was unprofessional & once I voiced concerned about the battery bring the issue since it's located in the bumper where they working, he became rude & told me the battery was fine & I needed a new starter. My insurance Liason demanded Kovatch Tow it back to the shop & diagnosis it professionally. I got a call from Kovatch prior to it being towed and they insisted 100% this was a starter issue & not accident or shop related & that I would be billed for the Tow & Diagnosis, I insisted I wanted it Disgnosed & would pay the charges if not related to the work. 2 days went by & the collision center never called me. I contacted my insurance Liasion back who was surprised Kovatch didnt call me as when they PROPERLY diagnosed it, it was in fact a battery issue & ordered a new battery. I called Kovatch & again the staff was super rude & insisted this wasn't an error even though the insurance confirmed it to be accident & shop related. It took 10 days to get my car back for MINOR repairs. The customer service here is sub par, communication is null. They do not properly diagnose the issues but just cosmetically fix the car, the real bare minimum. I will not take my car back here & Allstate Insurance Liasion even said there have been multiple escalations with this shop. Take your car to Wentz or another local business because the ethics & customer service are horrific at Kovatch.
