I took my 9 year old granddaughter on a Saturday for high fever and coughing. Dr. said it's a virus no medication let it run its course. 3 days later she is still sick and running high fever. Her father called the Dr and asked if he could bring her back in only to be told "no point, we won't do anything different." Now at day 7 she is still sick and started "toe walking". We took her to FCMH ER where she was given several test (blood work) etc and ADMITTED on the spot for flu, dehydration, muscle breakdown and low potassium. She is still in the hospital and very sick! All of this was unnecessary if she had been treated properly or pointed us in the right direction if they didn't want to do anything rather than say let it run it's course. I am one MAD MEMAW!!
