Their lie cost me $1347.00

At first they were so helpful with me getting my advising with Dr. Dunlop on the Department of Business. They even switched a class for me because I registered on the cut off and the next day my husband told me that I could not have that time for classes on that day. (He wants to make my life as difficult as possible so I can't go to school) I then applied for financial aid and was awarded a standard amount. After subsequent fights with my husband, I decided to file for separation. I asked the financial aid department if I still lived in the house and paid my part of the bills and live on separate floors if I could apply for a hardship. They said yes but I had to file a two page reason why I felt I needed extra money and supply my w-2s. So I filled out the paperwork and was working on getting my w-2s from the accountant towards the end of the semester. They told me to not accept the award amount. On Dec. 12 they told me that I needed the rest of the info and then on Dec. 17 after I faxed them the rest of the information that I has passed my deadline they then stated I was no longer eligible for financial aid. I had passed my deadline even on Dec. 12. They did not tell me that it was due on that day. Now I am in default of the $1300 plus the $120 in late fees that were assessed to me while waiting for the financial aid to be awarded. They will not release my transcript until I pay the fess and tuition. Most of the professors are pretty good but have their querks. The Financial Aid official is rude, condescending, and act like members of the mafia. I am currently talking to a attorney on discrimination of marital status charges.
