Golf legends Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player chose Ahead as the designer and manufacturer of their specialized headwear. The company offers specialized graphics on headwear and golf garments. Ahead was established in response to what it called a response to the lack of a dominant brand in the golf headwear segment. Prior to the company s emergence, golf hats generally consisted of a logo and a few other graphics. Ahead was recognized by ING as the recipient of ING s first place award for Product Ingenuity for Emerging Companies. The company was also recognized by Inc. magazine as the no. 1 Inner City Company in the United States. Ken Shwartz founded Ahead in 1995.
