Dropped off my sons car after getting a quote. What does out-the-door price mean? To this place it means that they will double the bill when they see my son. Taking advantage of people (kids, women) is their business plan. I should have paid attention to the first review!!! It was spot on correct. Double billed, false billing, swearing when questioned on it..... Feel free to contact me at [email protected] This will be a short lived business in New Bern but the bad think is that scumbags like this will just stop paying his lease and open up somewhere else under a new name. This scumbag has been doing it for years. I have started receiving emails from other people that were swindled by this guy. I'll try to keep this up to date but will leave peoples names out. 1.bret bailey dodge...bbd auto, he is by far the biggest rip off in this area ! he pulled the same 3hit with me some 10 years ago ! sorry mike you had to put up with his mess 2.I used to deal with Brett, but like you he hosed me on on a/c job. He quoted me $350 and the final bill was over $1000. Needless to say we almost came to blows. You are right he is rude and beligerant when confronted. I will never deal there again and advise all to stay away from this charlatan. 3.Now that I think of it there was one time I thought they had charged too much but I do not remember now what it was or how much. There was an explanation but I have forgotten that also. 4.Thanks for the tip! Warnings like this from reliable friends/neighbors are always welcome.

I took my vehicle to BBD Automotive to figure out why my car was overheating. BBD got me in the same day to look at my car and they informed me I need a thermostat to stop if from overheating. BBD also took a good look over at my car no charge to me which was nice as I was about to go on a long trip, and they informed me I needed a few other repairs. They showed me everything as they where explaining it to me which I feel is really nice to do I made me feel that they were looking out for me not just my money as alot of other plaeces I have been to have. When they got done with my repairs they showed me all my old parts and explained everything to me again and made sure that all my questions where answered!!! I love the warrant they carry also 2 years or 24000 mile I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF ANY REAPIRS TAKE IT TO BBD AUTOMOTIVE THEY WILL TREAT YOU GREAT AND THEY ARE HONEST!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely the WORST auto repair shop I have ever taken a vehicle to! They charged by son, an airman in the US Air Force, an outrageous amount for some fairly simple work. Plus, they promised a 10% military discount, but then would only provide a 5% discount on parts and 5% discount on labor. The owner tried to say that was a 10% discount, but when challenged with the "math" he just got angry and said that was all my son would get and he did not even have to give that discount (I actually think he got embarrassed that he got caught trying cheating someone).



The total amount for a new starter, new battery, new serpentine belt, spark plugs (6), plug wires, distributor cap, distributor rotor, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, oil change, and transmission flush was $1300 - that included the "military discount"! I recently got a quote from another local auto repair shop for the same repairs and the estimate was only $800 - that was with no "military" discount. My son got ripped off $500 from this dishonest auto repair shop.



If you value your money and want good quality auto repairs - DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO BBD AUTOMOTIVE!
