Salon review. This was my first ever visit and my last. I went to get a hair cut and an ombre. My hair was long and naturally spiral curly. Before hand, I called and asked if someone there had experience with cutting curly hair. The answer was yes, so i made an appointment. The woman that cut my hair applied dye directly to my scalp. That's not the kind of ombré I was wanting. Then, Because my hair is curly I was expecting her to straighten my hair with a flat iron and then cut it dry. She said she can cut it with out doing that. So I trusted her. I came out looking like a two year old got ahold of a pair of scissors and cut their own hair. My "ombré" looked like a 3 month old hair style that needed mayor attention! When I got home I straighten my hair to see what it really looked like and the results were horrifing. I went to Walmart and bought a do-it-yourselfer die kit and died it back dark brown (which is my natural color). While at Walmart I stopped by the smart style salon and stold them my store and showed them the damage. They told me to go get my money back. So i Did! Or tried to.. By the time I went back to JCPenneys I had already died my hair with the self kit, so they only refunded me for my hair cut and half of the color treatment. Which I think it's not fair enough because eventhough I died my hair back brown, you could still see where the woman at JCPenneys tried to ombré my hair by applying the color to the roots of my temples. I got ripped off. I paid $105 for this visit and only got refunded $68. That's better than nothing but i should have gotten the full amount back! I had to have someone at Walmart fix my hair and I'm not putting anymore dye in it because of the damage. So now I have to live with ugly roots! It's not like I can grow new hair in a couple of months! My hair takes years to grown out! DO NOT GO HERE! They are horrible with curly hair and then on top of them screwing my hair up they wouldn't even refund me my hole amount. Cheap, bad service, and bad business! Stay away.
