Yesterday, 10/04/12. I took my sons Jeep Wrangler to Discount Muffler on Neuse Blvd, after having been referred to them by a local New Bern franchised car dealer. Now keep in mind I have been in the car business some 27 years and have worked in every dept of a dealership and know the importance of delivering 100% customer satisfaction. After arriving at DISCOUNT MUFFLER on Neuse Blvd. I met the (owner?-mgr) and expressed I had a catalytic converter problem. He proceeded to check out my sons Jeep and also determined I had an Exhaust Manifold leak as well. We (mgr.-myself and my 18 yr old son) went into the office and he proceeded to work up a quote with the FEMALE office mgr. He quoted me what I felt like was a HIGH quote for the job...but when I indicated I would need to shop his quote...He looked at me with a straight face and said "WELL YOU CAN SPEND $20 FOR A WHORE OR SPEND MORE FOR A WHORE AND GET A BETTER JOB! RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND MY 18 YR OLD SON!!!!!I could NOT believe he said such a thing!! Needless to say I expressed my disappointment in the way he talked to me and my young son...HE SAID, "I WAS JUST KIDDING" without smiling...After checking around New Bern for a better price I got the job done for almost HALF THE PRICE at a reputable car dealership...Folks, I know how people WANT to be talked to and treated. When you work hard and have to spend your hard earned money LOCALLY with a business, you deserve to be treted in a manor with respect! But I can assure you NOT TO subject yourself to this type of "LOW RATE" BEHAVIOR this place of business delivers...There are too many GOOD-Christian Based Businesses locally that want to earn your business and treat you and your Family with respect! So I felt compelled to SHARE this experience to let you know!!

Paul was right on with his appraisal of what was wrong with my car when 3 other shops couldn't figure it out. His advice was truly in my best interest insead of what he could have sold me. I'll be back whenever I need something.

This shop offers great service and great prices. Will be back and will tell my friends. : )
