this is the vet i use for my babys they take them right in and take great care of them always. very nice i like them i recommend them all the time.

Best vet and staff ever! All the negatives made me way to cancel my baby’s appt but it was made so I went. Awesome receptionist, went out of her way to pay attention to my boy. The vet tech was so good that I thought she was the vet! Then I met Dr Kinsey and she is the absolute best vet I’ve ever met and I’ve had dogs my entire life. I’m so so glad I went and I highly recommend them!!

Dr. Ridgeway and the women that work for him are awesome. They were so kind and compassionate with my Tucker, and today, with my beautiful Ema. It stuns any amazes me that anyone who loves animals could write negative comments about the team at the Pet Hospital. They are professional and kind. Dr. Ridgeway? Forget about it . . . he is a compassionate man and I thank him for the gentle way he handled my Tucker and Ema . . . love & prayers, NJ Pflugradt

WORST VET IN TOWN!

Worst Vet Office in New Bern. That was before the new receptionist. I had been sick so I ordered my cats flea and tick medication from Drs. Foster and Smith. I had a prescription and they faxed over a approval for for the Vet to sign. Well after three days I received an email stating that the vet's office had not sent the request back. So I called. The new receptionist was very rude. Immediately got an attitude like I had some nerve expecting her to fax anything back. She gave me a reason and I told her I understood but I could not get out to get his meds so I ordered online. I asked if it was a problem and if they still did that. She said yes and she wwould fax it back that day. I also asked her if anyone was going to call me or were they even going to fax it back? And...why did they just hold it so long without doing anything. She got all huffy and said it would be done. So I said thank you and she hung up on me. No reply to my thank you. So on the 31st I recieved another email from Drs. Foster and Smith saying they still had not gotten the fax back so I want by there. The woman lied right to my face and as if I was stupid told me it was proof that she faxed it back on the 28th at the top of the fax they received from Drs. Foster and Smith. I told her that is not a confirmation that she sent it only that you received it from them on that day. She really got nasty then. She continued saying she faxed it on the 28th. Now when I talked to her on the phone on the 31st she told me she was going to fax it back. How could she have faxed it on the 28th when on the 31st she told me she hadn't done it. When she went to make a copy of the form the online company faxed to them the other vet Ms. Riggs and her were rudely talking about me. I told her there supposed to be an animal caring establishment but she clearly didn't give a damn about my cat. I had to go up the road to the Animal Care Center on Hwy 17 and they sold me one over the counter and made an appointment for me cat. I will never go back to the pet hospital of new bern. THEY SUCK, WITH EXTRA SUCKINESS!!!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!

If your pet is your furry child, take them ANY WHERE other than here: My cat died on the 30th of old age, and I called to see if they provided private services with return. Problem: I didn't get paid for 2 days; they offered to hold him. "How compassionate!" I thought. When I came in to drop him off, the front desk was clueless, and the office manager was intent on telling me "if you do not pay by closing Friday, he will be sent to the landfill." Being grief stricken over the loss of my 16 year old cat, I didn't respond much. I paid as agreed on Thursday the 2nd and was told 7-10 days he would be returned. On the 17, I called as was told "they can get busy, and it can take longer, but don't worry, we will call you." On the 30th, I called again. First, I was told that I had already picked him up, then I was told that "no one in this office would EVER make a comment ( about the landfill ) like that" , so now I'm lying, and finally, they are not sure where he is at, but they will call me back; a call I never received. I had to track him down myself, and through the kindness and compassion of the company that performed the cremation, he was delivered to me personally by one of their office staff. Don't run from Dr. Ridgeways office, don't show up at all!!

Awful Experience.

The staff was not very welcoming or attentive. The Dr. couldn't even guess what was wrong with my cat. I went to another Vet and they asked Ridgway Animal Clinic to Fax them the Blood Test results. After 4 calls, it still hasn't happened. If you care about your pet, go somewhere else.
