Established in 1899, Veterans of Foreign Wars operates as an organization of combat veterans. Located in New Blaine, Ariz., the community assists families in providing national veteran service, transitioning, troop support, post military assistance, family assistance and national military services. It offers various programs in the categories of military assistance, unmet needs, operation uplink as well as benefits delivery at discharge, among others. Veterans of Foreign Wars have its own VFW magazine, which is the official publication of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
