I attended Happy Days Daycare for many years, some too young to remember. Shirley was so nice and caring. She taught me how to swim and told my parents to have me join a swim team. I swam competitively for 13 years. I enjoyed Happy Days very much. Shirley and her daughter, Summer, attended my dad's funeral 5 years after I had outgrown daycare. They truly are very nice and genuine people. -Jessica Meneley Wright

I'm 21 now but attended Happy days when I was a child. My mother says that I liked it for the most part but all I can remember is hating it so much. Maybe I just didn't tell my mom things when I was younger because I was scared but I can recall many things that were wrongly done. 1. They used to have pool party's at the owners house and I had gone to one at this time I couldn't swim and they had told us "if you can't swim don't go pass this point and if you can you can go to the deep end." while I'll admit I was curious and holding onto the edge with my hands I worked my way to the deep end when I was picked up out of the water and then throw into the deep end. I learned how to swim that day but it was scary what if I hadn't been able to get back up afloat? 2. One of the ladies that worked there always called me Barbie while I know this isn't something that big it was just disrespectful because I had told her I didn't like that and asked to be called by my proper name. children have thoughts likes and dislikes when you ignore them like that they can feel unimportant or as if their opinion doesn't matter. 3. NAP TIME they had these cot like beds I think I was too old for naps then because I never took them. It was like they needed a break from the kids and made them take a nap whether they wanted to or not. I was never loud and would just lay there looking at things playing with my hands but they would make me lay on my stomach nose straight down on the bed so I couldn't look around with my eyes.. it was uncomfortable and hurt my nose no one lays like that you tilt your head to either one side or the other not right on your nose.. 4. SNACK/LUNCH I had eaten there the food they provided I can't remember the meals really but I do remember them forcing me to eat something that to this day I do not eat. I ate everything else but they wouldn't let me play outside with all the other kids if I didn't eat the slices of cucumber ..

I gave them two starts because while there were bad things not everything was bad I went there for a long time until I begged my mom not to take me there any more. I am a child care provider now and work off of care.com I find joy in watching the children I do I have never had a child be upset because I was coming over to watch them. I always bring crafts or think of projects to do with them. I think about the age of each child I watch and pick activities based on that child likes and dislikes. I started working with child because of my own experience child need love and attention they need exploring and lots of play to learn and grow. I would never recommend this daycare because of my own personal experiences. Parents reviews are good to have but they aren't there the hole time they only see little things where I lived it.

I disagree with jpem87 because I used to take my kids to prodigy and my kids would always come home with scratches and bite marks and all three of my kids would always be crying when I picked them up and they always had dirty faces!! I switched them over to happy days and my kids love it, I have an 18 month old and my daughter loves miss priscilla. I've seen her color and fingerpaint. I've came by different times of the day and they are always doing something productive. My daughter now knows her colors and shapes. I love happy days and so do my three little girls!

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! ...

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! I am completely appalled by this day care. I took my daughter there and took her out after less than a month because of how many times she got sick there. It isn't even about her getting sick it is the fact that they didn't call me to pick her up or even tell me she was running a fever. I called to ask how she was and they said fine but when I picked her up she was coughing non stop, her eyes were red and puffy, she was running a 102 fever, and had snot practically pouring out of her nose! They didn't even notice. My daughter is just over 1 so she can't tell me how her day was. I had to ask such specific questions (Ex. Did she eat? What did she eat? How much did she eat? Lunch? Did she nap? How long did she nap?) I had to ask 20 questions just to get 5 answers. I am not even exaggerating. They had 10 kids in a teeny tiny classroom and only ONE teacher who looked 16. They forged her coloring activities. Why? Beats me but I have seen my kid color and its not like that. I take my daughter to Prodigy now and it is AMAZING! She is talking and doing more sign language than before

pro happy days daycare

For one people should get all the facts about the daycare before posting things on a site that everyone can see. I have experienced Happy Days when I was a kid and I remember to this day that I had nothing but fun! And its still that way...the children love coming to daycare I know for a fact! I take my baby boy there and he loves it! He loves the teachers, sometimes more than me! And to the posts that say the lady in the office a COUPLE OF YEARS AGO is no longer working there ( for a good reason too!) Happy Days Daycare is under new management and the lady that directs it is nothing but generous and genuine!!!! She is very close to me so I know for a fact that if you take your kids there they are in exceptional hands!!! So I am pro happy days because they are amazing and take very good hands! And they have cameras too! And they do not make bologna sandwhitches every day!!!!!!!! They make good food!!!!

the place that should be closed!

I used to take my children to Happy Days a couple of years ago and had nothing but trouble with them there....not only was the staff rude but it seemed like my kids would always cry cause they didn't want to be left....being that it was the first time the where in daycare I thought that it was seperation issues....my daughter still to this day remebers how the lady in the office would pinch her arm if she wouldn't stop crying on the way to the class room....if I would of know that I would of pulled them out right then and their! I also pulled up to pick up my children when I witnessed first hand a lady in the parking lot going crazy because they called her to come pick up her son because he "fell" but when she asked her son he told her that the lady shoved his head into the floor because he wouldn't lay down for nap time! (Which by the way, they re suppost to have an option to take a nap or have quite time and play) but they dictate naps! The cops did come. And of course state was called and came in...I pulled my children out that day never to go back! From then on I was worried about what daycare I could really trust! I went to daysprings christian preschool off of walnut...they are wonderful and have cameras in the class rooms so u can peek in anytime u would like!!! My children finished out the rest of the time there until they where of age to go to school....daysprings also teaches your children to read and count and prepairs them for kindergarden from about 3 on....it is wonderful and the staff is extrodinary!!!!
