The Center for Joint Care staff provides a range of pre-surgery services. It provides assessment of pre-surgery condition; complete explanation of diagnosis and upcoming surgery; and discharge planning services. It is a part of the Hospital of Central Connecticut, which provides inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery and a variety of specialties. The Hospital of Central Connecticut has been operational since 1995 and is a member of the Central Connecticut Health Alliance. The hospital provides long-term care, home health programs, senior living, occupational health, substance abuse screening, and physical, speech and occupational therapies. The Center for Joint Care is located in New Britain, Conn.
