Place is dysfunctional - a small club for elderly people to gather without practicing Christianity. It's a constant source of ugly rumors because it's an ugly place. Members spread slander and lies about each other, and even the pastors! One board member wrote hate letters to other board members. Many members are unfaithful in giving and attendance, and try to use their money and participation to blackmail the congregation and pastor. The worst of the bunch run the church and browbeat and dominate the weak. There are nearly no middle-aged members because even their own children have left with their families to attend other churches - which is why Doylestown Methodist is called "New Britain East". There are no children. They can't keep a real pastor because they treat them so badly. God's judgment seems to be written on the continuing decline of members and money. They've no services to offer except a food larder (which just proves that God grows mushrooms in compost) In just a few years, there'll be hardly anyone left. Which is a good thing. You should definitely look into the many healthy churches in the Doylestown area, and avoid this one!
