This company has ZERO concern for public safety whatsoever. They damaged the hwy doing a night construction job, then used asphalt to patch the road, which spanned over 2 lanes. They then went home without blocking the lanes off. A couple hours later when the sun came out the asphalt sunk, causing a large crater in middle of the hwy. My daughter, along with several other unsuspecting motorists, drove right into this mess, blowing her tire, bending the rims, & spewing fluid from her car. The police arrived and blocked the lane to prevent any further damage, injuries, etc. The project manager from daisy was called to the scene, where he apologized for their mistake & accepted full responsibility. He gave his info & company fax # and told those with damage to fax in vehicle repair invoices and they would take care of everything. The car was towed to a nearby service garage where they repaired the damage & faxed daisy the repair bill. Daisy ignored the fax for nearly 3 weeks leaving us without a vehicle. When I finally got a hold of their safety rep, he tells me that they no longer assume responsibility for the damages because the state hwy dept told them to patch the hwy & NOT block it off. He proceeded to say he knew it was unsafe but they have to do what the state told them to do since they are under contract! Really?? The safety guy left the road unblocked knowing it wasn't safe to drive over? So he says, just go ahead & report it to your insurance co. are u kidding? So i have to pay a $500 deductible & have my insurance go up for their negligence? Sounds like they need a new safety rep for starters! This whole incident is shocking to say the least.
