I would tell my best friend not to go here because they aren't that friendly and when the girl colored my hair, she could hardly even hide the look of horror when she turned it green/blond.

Most traumatic hair experience of my life!!!



I had an asymmetric short female haircut and I only wanted a trim. The "stylist" butchered it so now it looks like a very short boys haircut. I had to stop him from continuing and to get a collegue that new what she was doing. She started telling him all the things he had done wrong with my hair. Even though it looked better after she had taken over the cutting it still looks bad but there is basically no more hair on my haid for me to get it fixed. When I payed they asked if I wanted to give a tip basically and I don't think that I have to write down what my answer was...

As a guy with pretty long hair, it's common to receive a mediocre chop at a barber shop. For a few bucks more, the experts at Chameleon do a great job cutting and styling my hair and are very up-to-date on any growing fashion trend. I just wish there were student discounts.

They do fabulous work, they are artists and tres chic. Two thumbs up!

I went in for a leg and underarm wax, and was really impressed. Aubrey was chatty, friendly, gentle, and made sure I was as soft and smooth as a baby. She really took her time to do a good job and make sure I was comfortable.



Great front desk staff too!! Everyone seemed to genuinely want to make sure the customers have a good experience...

Also the prices seemed very reasonable - especially compared to some of the other places in town!

I have been going to Chameleon in New Haven for over a year now. I started going there because a stylist at another salon burnt my hair off .... seriously. I had NO bangs at all in the front. I was referred to Meredith in New Haven. She worked miracles on my color, my style and gave me confidence to take the baseball hat off again! Im a blonde and that is VERY hard to work with. Over the past year I can honestly say that I feel like a part of the chameleon "family". The entire staff there is fun, friendly and they all work together as a team. I have had hair emergencies as we all have and they fit me right into the schedule. I now have thick, beautiful hair that is the color that I have always wanted and no one else could seem to achieve. If you need color done definitly go see Meredith she is absolutly the BEST! Thanks Chameleon for being a "one of a kind" salon!

LOVE Chameleon!!! By far the best salon I've been to! I started going to Chameleon after a LONG search for a salon that lived up to my very high standards. I tried several places, but until Chameleon, was unable to find one that combined all that I was looking for: knowledgeable colorists and stylists, personable employees, and a great atmosphere - and Chameleon has all of these and more! I love being "super blonde" as the best colorist Meredith knows, and Meredith gets the color perfect every single time... and it looks so natural! Just today I was asked by someone if it is my natural color. All of the colorists and stylists are continually trained, attending new classes, etc., and therefore, they're able to offer the newest and best products and are able to really help me pick out the best products for my hair personally. It's rare for me to put complete trust and control of my appearance in the hands of someone else, but I willingly do so to the staff at Chameleon, since I know they always work to my best interests. It's a very individualized experience, and each time I leave there more excited to return again!



I see Meredith every single time I go - but the entire Chameleon team contributes to the excellent experience. They all are good friends, and it shows - they assist each other, and are always eager to help - and each one of them takes a personal interest in you. They can't do enough to make you happy - whether it's offering a cup of coffee or some water with lemon, or offering a complimentary hand massage. The results speak for themselves - as more people attend and their results are viewed, more and more people end up going. Our graduating law school class is testamentary to this: out of about 50 in our section, at least 8 independently of each other have started going to both of Chameleon's locations! The best salon, I really can't recommend it highly enough!
