wow things have gotten much better at new haven dennys! we went for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and had great service and food. We ordered from the new baconalia menu and loved it! our server really knew what she was doing and was an absolute pleasure!!

we will be back for kid eat free.

We went there for breakfast last week. They should have held off opening for another month so they could train their staff. We were greeted by the "host" telling everyone the same thing ... if you need anything flag me down. It sounded very crude. Once seated we were greeted by our server about 10 minutes later. Our order was placed and took a full half hour to arrive. My husband's order came through wrong, charring the English muffin and forgetting about his "well done" hash browns. Although my server was pleasant, I asked twice for a reheat of my coffee. The second time she said she forgot but then proceeded to take orders from two tables. By the time my breakfast was finished I told her to forget the coffee, I just wanted the check. Then we go to the cash register to pay. Two registers, four people standing behind them with blank looks on their faces. Someone should have informed the guests there was a problem. We waited 15 minutes to finally hand over our cash. Our supposed quick breakfast (we are working in the area on a new store location) was over an hour and a half. We won't be back. The Athenian Dine is across the street. Great food and service. They will get our business from now on.
