Hunter Ambulance has been providing emergency and non-emergency transportation to hospitals, nursing homes, and health related facilities in the New York metropolitan area since 1982. Our successful and controlled growth over the past several years is a direct result of our attention to the needs of our clients, new system implementation, fleet expansion, selective quality staffing, and our uncompromising commitment to quality of care and service. We recognize that in order to provide quality service, we must have the most up-to-date systems for medical transportation. RightCAD-A state-of-the-art computer aided dispatch system, providing us with instant vehicle dispatching, call taking, mapping, reporting and system administration. It allows us to continually monitor emergency and non-emergency ambulance and ambulette calls. Sanitas- The most sophisticated computer billing system on the market today, fully integrated with RightCAD. It provides us the opportunity to maintain accurate and timely records for ourselves and our clients, as well as the ability to generate specific reports to evaluate performance, maintain long-range tracking, update client profiles and meet targeted customer evaluative needs. A clinical excellence management program is mandatory for all EMT's, paramedics, and on the road personnel. Quality assurance audits serve as monitoring systems for all our staff involved in patient care. Each employee is reviewed, tested, and graded on their clinical skills and provided with in-service training if needed. Hunter implemented this program based on the realization that continuing education is needed in every profession in order to maintain the highest level of professional standards. Hunter has a quite extensive pre-employment process. All employees are interviewed, drug screened, road tested, skills tested, and are put through a two week training program. If they pass all facets of the process, they are offered employment.
