Desi Vega's Steakhouse
628 Saint Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70130
Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Zagat's 7th ranked steakhouse in America, Mr. John's and the new Desi Vega's Steakhouse. Due to the success of Mr. John's, Desi began to look for another location. He chose one on St Charles Avenue (formerly Mike's On The Avenue) in the Warehouse/CBD District and decided to "brand" the new one Desi Vega's Steakhouse because Mr John's is also located on St. Charles Avenue in the Garden District. Floor to ceiling windows in the spectacular main dining room overlook the historic St Charles Avenue Streetcar Line, Gallier Hall and the majestic oaks in Lafayette Square. Desi grew up the in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. Mr. John's and Desi Vega's are the "local's" place to go for great steaks! Desi Vega's is the "power place" for business lunches and a favorite for more trendy crowd at night mixed in with local celebs. I's the place to be and be seen and favorite gathering spot before and after the New Orleans Saints home games.Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Zagat's 7th ranked steakhouse in America, Mr. John's and the new Desi Vega's Steakhouse.
