Raphael Academy educates high and middle school-aged students with intellectual disabilities such as Down's syndrome and autism spectrum disorder. The academy also has a Young Adult Program and aims at developing an integrative urban village to support individuals with disabilities. This village will provide social opportunities, life-skills and job training, supported living, and education. A day care program is offered before and after school hours for students in the transition and middle classrooms. This program is customized for each student and covers indoor and outdoor games, reading, art activities, and a rest period. Raphael Academy is located at New Orleans, Louisiana, and caters to Central City _ Garden and Irish Channel neighborhoods.
