Provided by SuperpagesA retro feel with granite-topped tables and magnificent antique mahogany bar, this casual restaurant, affiliated with Arnauds, draws impromptu diners from their walks through the French Quarter.Menu includes Shrimp Arnaud, red beans and rice, oysters on the half shell and po-boys share the menu with 8-oz. specialty burgers, grilled all-beef hot dogs, eight-inch pizzas, half-pound burgers, barbecued shrimp, fried seafood in a basket or BBQ ribs.I'm a repeat visitor to New Orleans, my last trip in Dec. 2007 took me on a culinary break from a low carb diet. I picked up the turtle soup to dine at my resort with leftovers from Cafe Maspero. Not having turtle soup before, this opinion may not be fair. Excited, The hot and & moderately thick soup tasted like Casleberry Stew! The taste experience was not a pleasant one, & I'm one to try many different foods. In spite of this, I WILL return to try the Nachitoches meat pies next time. Atmosphere was attractive & clean.
