Provided by YP.comI have been taking my cat dokken to stamen for his whole life. He is a rescue cat, My husband and I rescued him when he was 4 month old. He is now 8 years old. Stamen vets have the most care and kindness for my cat. They take time out to make me and also my husband at ease. I think that my cat is the best with Dr. Violi but they all are great with him. They even did a small surgery (teeth cleaning) with no problem afterwards. My husband and I even had him borded there when we went away. My husband and I are so pleased with Stamen that we would never go anyware else.GREAT PLACE AND STAFF.

Provided by YP.comI love this place. I have always been lucky to get an appointment, and I have had great experiences caring for my adopted German Shepherd who was a rescue. All the vets have been very patient with me, explaining everything I would need to know as a first time dog owner. When my dog ate chocolate, one of the vets helped me over the phone. I so appreciated their kindness. Dr. Violi is so loving with my dog, and I find the staff truly cares. My dog has problems with her sutures after she was spaded, essentially her wounds were reopening. The treatments to care for her were affordable and worked. I also like that they remember me and my dog when I return. I know that many of my friends have been using Stamen for years, and I now know why.

Provided by YP.comI have four kittens, two males and two females, almost seven months old and they need to be spade/neutered. I usually go to the Humane Society of NY; they give great, professional medical attention and they are REALLY affordable. For this reason, they fill up really quick and it's often hard to get an appointment, which is why I was looking around for another Veterinary Hospital. The New Rochelle Humane Society has a voucher program for low cost Spaying/Neutering through participating Veterinarians but that only covers the cost of surgery; it does not cover the cost of exam, anesthesia, antibiotics(if needed), pain medication, blood work, additional cost for females in heat, overnight stays for females, catheters for females staying overnight, etc. I currently have 10 cats and most of these extras I have never encountered, I never even heard of such nonsense which at least two of the Clinics/Hospitals tried to pull on me, Stamen being one of them. I was actually able to finagle appointments for my four Kittens at the Humane Society of NY. While I do feel they are overcharging pet parents, at least Stamen is open from 7:30a-6:30p which makes it easier for those of us who work. Stamen Animal Hospital and Pelham Animal Hospital, both have websites with their hours listed which is more than I can say for New Rochelle Animal Hospital. They have a website, but don't list their hours. Is it a secret? and when I spoke to the secretary who answered the phone about it she told me the website is 10yrs old, which I told her is not an acceptable excuse and then she hung up on me! The Humane Society is open 7days a week and they do surgery every day which is a major flaw I have with all the Clinics/Hospitals participating in New Rochelle's low cost spay/neuter program. I work during the week which is how I am able to afford spaying and neutering my animals. That should be taken into consideration, I mean come on.

Provided by YP.comAfter searching for a place to board my dog, we finally came across Stamen Animal Hospital. From the moment we walked in we loved the place. It was clean, it looked homey, and the staff was very friendly and caring. My dog who does not take well to strangers seemed to take well to the staff here. When I picked her up of course she was happy to go home, but she also seemed happier than the last place we had her. The place where she slept was huge, bigger than her old cage at home. She had constant water, a blanket, her teddy, and a room to herself (which she loves). The best part that I liked about them was the pricing. They offer a reasonable and affordable pricing which really worked out. Also I loved the fact that they took her in at the last minute when I was desperatly in need of finding a place. Stamen Animal Hospital has now become her permant boarding place, at least while in New York. Love them!
