The boat was nice but that was all that was nice. The moment we boarded a full day ($1200 6 person charter) the crew began making excuses as to why they haven't been catching fish. We shared our breakfast with the crew and some beers later in the trip. The Captain tried trolling for a while and saw several dolphin but caught nothing. They switched to bottom fishing and we caught small vermillion snapper. Our group caught 3 red snapper but Captain threw them back. I asked why and was yelled at and told they don't keep them. No explanation. Later I researched and we could keep them in State waters and brought it up to the crew. I was again yelled at and provided no explanation. After the trip, a dive buddy of mine explained we were likely in Federal waters not State waters but again, I received no explanation from the crew. The crew further blamed not catching fish on our group's inexperience.

We returned to the marina and were again yelled at told we weren't welcome. The first mate started throwing what little fish we caught at us when we were on the dock.

Fishing charters should never guarantee fish as there are bad days of fishing. However, when I pay $1200 for a charter boat, I expect more professionalism than what we were given. Try a different boat.

First time deep see fishing with my son. The crew was great, very helpful. Caught lots of fish. Highly recommend the crew and the ship.
