Although the hotel was very clean hence the one star), the front desk staff were not pleasant. Half way through my stay, I was told the Health Department had issued a boil water advisory, and we were not to drink the water or consume the ice (in the one working ice machine). When I inquired as to how the hotel was rectifying the issue, I was told each guest would be given a bottle of water for tooth brushing, and that I could PURCHASE drinking water from vending machines. When I then asked if I could terminate my stay, I was told that I could not be refunded the cost of my second night, since I had booked through a third party (Expedia). At no time was I impolite when making my requests/inquiries, but the desk staff behaved as though I had no right to expect safe water coming from the tap ("nobody drinks tap water" was the comment made to me). There's a reason it's called the Hospitality industry, and these folks missed the boat.
