I'm very pleased I followed my instincts and chose Superior Floor, Inc.. The scope of my project included refinishing over 3400 square feet of hardwood floors (sand, stain, polish, finish with satin polyurethane). Also, I wanted new hardwood floors installed in the guest room and master bedroom. Superior floors was one stop shopping at a very competitive price (floor purchse and installation). Carlos and Fabian not only own the business but are hands on in every aspect of the process. They helped me with selection and actually rolled up their sleeves and did the installation. This was important to me because they back up what they say and supervise the job. I was very impressed by the meticulous attention to detail. Carlos treated my house as if it was his own. I have no punch list because they delivered on every promise and exceeded my expectations. For example, Carlos repaired broken spindles on my stairs and I couldn't see where the spindles were originally broken. In addition I had two holes in the kitchen floor where the orignal electrical lines ran up to the kitchen center island that I had removed during demolition. Carlos filled the holes to the point I could not notice the original holes were ever there. Carlos and Fabian run a very professional crew. They show up very early and work non-stop. They work harder than anyone I ever met among home improvement contractors. I could not believe the effort they put in to completing the job ahead of schedule. As for the results of the refinished floors, my floors are beautiful. They look like new. The depth of color and finish is dramatic. As for the new floors, they are perfectly installed and level right down to the closets and the transition from the room to the hallway. You hear stories about bad experiences with shady contractors. But I can assure you that Carlos and Fabian represent the good side of the home inprovement business. Carlos and Fabian will not stop until you are pleased.

As other reviewers have correctly stated, do your homework to get an idea of typical prices for the type of wood you want to put down as well as the labor cost per square foot. We investigated prices for Brazilian Koa (a.k.a Tigerwood -avg $6 per square foot - ) and typical labor rates (around $3.50 per square foot at the time of this writing). An important side point is that $3.50 sq/ft labor typically includes taking up and putting back the floor moldings and heater base boards but does NOT include ripping up old carpet so if you want the installer to rip up your old carpet, the installation labor rate will be higher. The one stop shopping experience with Carlos and Fabian was a better value than ordering the materials and installers separately. Additionally, Carlos went the extra design mile by offering to make custom molding around the base of our kitchen cabinets to create a beautiful visual transition from the cabinets to the new Tigerwood floor.

Carlos estimated 3 days to complete the job but actually completed the job in 2 days as Carlos and his crew worked 11 hrs on the first day and 15 hours on the second day to complete the job ahead of schedule. While common sense dictates that their workload with other clients may prevent them from putting in those long hours at every job, I did want to point out the sheer hard work this crew put into doing a very professional job. Another big plus was the crew helping to move furniture back into place. Our new floors look beautiful. Carlos and Fabian run a tight ship. Congratulations on a job well done. I highly recommend them !!

When you do your homework for a floor project, do not make a final decision until you have been to Superior Floor, Inc. You will be thankful that you took the time to get together with these wood flooring experts who can give you the results you desire. Fabian, Carlos, Glen and their work crew are certainly some of the best in the business. We are blown away by the results that they achieved in our home. The remodeled hardwood staircase is a real pleasure for us to enjoy and the Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors are simply excellent. These professionals are informed, artistic, neat, punctual and competitively priced. Go there.

Fabian, Carlos & their crew did a fantastic job resurfacing my wood floors. They replaced quite a few sections and once the floors were sanded and stained, you couldn't tell the difference as to what sections were replaced.



I am very satisfied with the results and the time it took to complete the work. Fabian and his crew took the extra time to explained each step. Also, moved all my furniture, including the piano with care. I would highly recommend them. Also Glen was very helpful in answering all of my questions.

Then at my house.....

they moved my furniture, remove the old carpet and then installed my new beautiful hardwood floor(Brazilian Cherry)

We had the floors of two rooms done by Superior Floors and they were excellent!



Our home is historic so one room had slightly warped floors while the other room had painted floors. They did a great job with the two different surfaces and even got the stain to match the hallway in between the roomas well.



We also had a hole in the floor that had to be repaired and they took wood out of a closet so that the repair that was in the middle of the room would match the rest of the floor.



When we have other floors to install or finish we would certainly use them again.

By all means, do your homework before making such a large investment in your home. Be sure to check the suppossed leader of high quality. low cost hardwood flooring at LL. Also check HD and L.

At the end of the day, after comparing material quality, cost, labor, rug removal, subfloor adjustment and furniture removal, you'll find Superior Floors is your best financial bet.

Their process is simple and straightforward with no hidden additional charges. You'll know what you're paying for up front and what you should expect to get in return.
