Caedmon School, founded in 1962, was granted a provisional charter by the State Education Department under the name, Montessori Association of New York, the Caedmon School. The charter was confirmed in 1971. Caedmon provides a wide variety of learning opportunities to challenge its students. It offers small class sizes allowing for individualized instruction. The curriculum is designed to include an elementary program dedicated to high academic standards and to continue the focus on social development. The school offers activities and programs, such as art projects, dramatics, homework and extensive creative writing. Caedmon School is located in New York City.
