Cine Mosaic was founded in 2002 by independent producer, Lydia Dean Pilcher, as a production company committed to producing feature films for theatrical release and for television. With an energetic focus on entertaining stories that promote social, cultural and political diversity, Cine Mosaic is based in New York City.Pilcher has produced over 27 feature films and is presently in production on "The Miraculous Year, " a pilot for a new HBO series created by John Logan and directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Pilcher recently produced "You Don't Know Jack, " directed by Barry Levinson, which premiered Spring 2010 on HBO. The film, starring Al Pacino, followed Jack Kevorkian's battle to legalize assisted suicide and will premiere April 24th, 2010 on HBO.Pilcher also recently produced "Amelia, " starring Hilary Swank as the famous aviatrix, Amelia Earhart ; "The Darjeeling Limited, " directed by Wes Anderson ; and "The Namesake, " based on the novel by Jhumpa Lahiri and directed by Mira Nair. All were released theatrically by Fox Searchlight.
