Dr. Patel is a graduate of Aston University in Birmingham, UK and SUNY College of Optometry in New York City. Dr. Patel went on to complete a residency specializing in Ocular Disease at SUNY College of Optometry where he received extensive training alongside prominent optometrists and ophthalmologists in the areas of primary care, specialty contact lenses, refractive surgery co-management, glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, and retinal disease. Dr. Patel is an active member of the New York State Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry. He has lectured to fellow optometrists and published articles in various optometric publications. Additionally, Dr. Patel has donated his time to international optometric missions, providing eye care in countries such as Peru and Nicaragua. Dr. Patel is also a co-investigator at the Institute for Vision Research.
