Malaysian Lunch on the Fly

Okay, for a person like me, a Special Ed Teacher who runs from school to school all day, my lunch has to be quick, cheap and tasty of course. Jaya Malaysian Resatuarant fit the criteria, however I had to give them points off for the lack of customer service. If you enjoy talking to the wait staff and stellar customer service, then this might not be the place for you. Since one of my main schools is in China Town, NYC, I'm always looking for new spots to eat that fit my lunch time criteria. I decided to check out this restaurant because it was literally around the corner from my school and I was really craving an order of Pad Thai Noodles. Mmmmmmmm. I was seated quickly, almost instantly upon walking in. My order was taken almost as quickly and my food came out in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the shrimp pad thai noodles. The food was good. Not great, but good for a 20 minute lunch stop. The portion size was good enough for me. There wasn't enough to take home in a doggy bag, but it was satisfying for lunch. My bill was reasonable, under $10 for a can of soda and my order. After my order came out I was given no attention from the wait staff, but I wasn't looking for any. Overall it was a good lunch stop for me and I will return again.
