Kariel Sweeney is a Doctorally prepared Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. Originally from New York, she gained a Bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany. Coupled with her innate ability to care for others, Kariel went on to pursue a lifelong goal of a career in medicine after graduating from Albany. Subsequently, she graduated with a Master’s degree from Columbia University and became a Registered Nurse. After gaining a footing in the nursing field, Kariel went back to complete a Doctorate degree at Columbia University and became a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. While gaining experience working in critical care at a hospital in Brooklyn, Kariel found her niche in nephrology; which led her to accept a position with the Rogosin Institute. At Rogosin, Kariel plans to continue to grow into a proficient and impactful member of the multidisciplinary team caring for patients with kidney disease.
