Dr. Kelly Griffin is an intensivist who cares for hospitalized patients only and does not have outpatient practices.Dr. Griffin is board-certified in internal medicine and in critical care medicine. She works in the Medical ICU and is the director of the MICU Night Program. She has published work on the disaster and surge capacity management of the Covid surge in NYC, in-hospital cardiac arrests in patients with covid, and anticipates publications in obstetric critical care in the near future. She has completed additional training on the use of simulation in medical education and enjoys participating in these training sessions for medical students through senior attending physicians. Her academic interests include general critical care, critical care of obstetric patients, critical care of patients with hematologic malignancies, refugee and disaster medicine, and biomedical ethics. She was awarded the 2012 Weill Cornell Physician of the Year Award from the Department of Nursing; an award for physicians who practice in a collegial, collaborative, and respectful manner with nursing and support staff. She was also awarded the Critical Care Attending of the Year Award from the Weill Cornell Department of Medicine residency program in 2017, 2020, and 2021.
