Provided by YPmobileDo NOT USE THIS PLACE if you don’t have an iPhone. I cracked the glass on my Motorola Droid Razr Maxx in June, but I was able to use the device fully functionally with a screen protector on it. Finally, in August, I decided to get the glass replaced and I brought it to Link-Sys. The initially gave me a price of $125, but then raised the price to $165 when they checked part availability. I said ok and was told I could pick up my Droid the next day. It wasn’t ready the next day, and they said tomorrow for sure. 2 more times this happened and finally four days later (luckily I live close by) I got my device. It seemed to be fine, but when I got it home I realized that the camera no longer worked with the error “Could not be initialized.” Plus, the volume and power buttons weren’t set in place properly and could only be operated with excessive pressing.
I brought it back the next day and they said they would fix it. I picked it up and everything seemed fixed. I tried out the camera and was able to take a picture, volume buttons working fine. However, on the way home I found that the camera had stopped working again with the same error. I brought my WORKING phone (except for the camera) back in and they said they would fix it. I waited this time, and when they finished with it the Droid wouldn’t start up. Over and over it would freeze when booting up and wouldn’t start. They told me I needed to update my software (even though my phone had been FULLY WORKING a few minutes earlier) and sent me home with my Droid. My husband, who is tech savvy, tried everything to get the phone to start up, even re-flashing the recovery and resetting the phone. Nothing would allow the phone to actually start up fast the frozen boot screen. My previously working phone was now UNUSABLE.
I brought it back to Link-sys yet again to at least get my money back. They said they would put back my original cracked glass and I could then have my money back. When I got the phone a few hours later, they had my money ready and handed me my phone. I could not believe what they had done! They not only broke my glass even more, they broke chunks of it off. And not only the glass, but the LCD screen itself had chunks missing and circuitry exposed underneath. So MY PREVIOUSLY DAMAGED DROID WAS NOW COMPLETELY UNUSABLE since the display was utterly destroyed beyond repair.
So, in a nutshell, I brought in a WORKING phone with cracked glass and ended up with a DESTROYED, UNSALVAGEABLE phone. Plus, I had been treated to increasingly rude and deceitful customer service. Thanks to Link-sys.
