Provided by YP.comStopped in a donut and coffee shop downtown Manhattan with a bunch of friends where Magic Mike apparently does his thing on certain nights during the week. Although we were just going to get some coffee, Mike showed us a couple of his card tricks which were pretty cool and also one really great trick with a signed quarter. Seems like a nice guy and was very enthusiastic about his magic. My friend ended up buying a deck of trick cards. I was a fan of magic when I was in high school, but kind of lost my interested now that I am in college, but it was rekindled during Mike's show. Very informal setting and also he is quite a comedian which will keep you very interested and laughing between tricks. I think he is more of a magic instructor but does sell his tricks also. I will probably return to see him again but one thing is that he does not have a store as far as I know, so you have to look on his website or call him to find out where he will be ahead of time. He did about a dozen of so tricks in the half hour that we were there and I would have bought something but he only takes cash for payment in order to keep his prices down. A lot of people seem to know him at the coffee shop, so I guess he is a regular there. The only downside is that he seems to only sell a limited number of tricks and gags (maybe 2 dozen or so), so it is not as good as shopping in a big magic store, otherwise I would have give him a 5-star review. But he seems to have a nice assortment of stuff the please most people. I would recommend hooking up with him if you are just getting interested in magic since he seems to cater to beginners but be warned that he is not going to show you how the tricks are done unless I guess you buy one due to the magician's code of honor, as mentioned on his website, which is pretty simple and straight-forward although I noticed he emphasizes teaching magic more that selling so you will see items that are available but some with no prices listed. We just went in for coffee, but we got a great show, so thanks Magic Mike.

Provided by YP.comMet Mike at a local coffee shop, The Donut Pub on West 14th Street, where he did some card tricks and was very entertaining. He teaches and sells trick decks and other tricks (we bought a "magic pen" that goes through a dollars without making a hole). He was very patient teaching us the technique and his price was very reasonable.
