Dr. Alan Fard and his staff collaborate with other specialists and hospitals throughout Manhattan. Following his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Fard completed two years of training in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging at Columbia Presbyterian. He was then recruited as faculty of the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University and has been attending physician at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital since 1997. Dr. Fard is also an attending physician at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan, with full admitting privileges. Throughout the years, Dr. Fard has been responsible for the education of many medical students, residents, and fellows at Columbia University as well as Saint Vincent's Hospital. He is also active in many research trials investigating mechanisms of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, and the effects of various treatments and therapeutics.Cardiovascular disease is a slow progressive disease that can begin early in life and go undetected for years.
