Riverside Veterinary Group
219 W 77th St, New York, NY 10024
Riverside Veterinary Group, located at 219 West 79th Street in the heart of the Upper West Side in New York City, has been an veterinary care practice since 1953. In it's present incarnation, it was purchased in 1994 by Dr. Kasanofsky and Dr. Raclyn and completely gutted and reconstructed. We were recognized in 1996 as an AAHA hospital, meeting the strict standards of quality established by the American Animal Hospital Association. Riverside Veterinary Group is one of only a few elite privately owned veterinary practices in Manhattan that have achieved and maintained AAHA certificationOur veterinary hospital uses the latest in veterinary care technology including computerized electrocardiographic monitoring equipment, non invasive blood pressure measurement devices, pulse oximeter, isoflurane anesthesia, in house laboratory, as well as offering a full compliment of alternative veterinary medicine, including acupunture, electro acupuncture, and a host of alternative therapies that simply don't fit in any particular category. We're proud of the way we integrate Western Medicine with Alternative Medicine, and think we've achieved a level of care that is beyond the sum of the two modalities.Riverside Veterinary Group is a smaller practice than Riverside Animal Hospital, and that means even more personalized attention, shorter waiting times and even more treats for your pet! Despite our smaller size, we do offer an even more convenient location and the same high quality of medical care that you and AAHA demands.

Provided by YP.comIf I could give them zero stars I would! Don't go here if you need pet prescriptions. I should have realized what a joke this place is when they recommended I fill one of my dog's seizure prescriptions at a up scale pharmacy that charged me $150 rather than going on pet-meds where I got the same thing for $15, after I had to call them repeatedly to approve the order. They've filled out my dog's second prescription (phenobarbital, a common drug) wrong five out of six times, including wrong dosage, no refills, and too much of the drug which is a controlled substance so legally the pharmacy couldn't fill it. Beyond that doctor raclyn is condescending and pushy. The entire staff has tried to get me to do blood work and other test far before their due or procedures/tests that are unnecessary. They even sent me repeated notices for stool parasite checks but not to remind me that two of my dog's vaccines had expire. I switched to Westside Veterinary Center and finally have some competent people taking care of my pets

Provided by YP.comThe people at the front of the office are so warm and welcoming, they made me feel like I was a part of their family. Penny is always scared when she goes to see the vet but this time her tail wagged the whole time. The place smells great, hot coffee and cookies for the mommies and treats for the doggies! Dr. Raclyn is now Penny's favorite vet! He played with her and talked to her like she was the one going to decide if she wanted to get a shot or not. The whole experience was terrific. It was freezing cold outside and warm and homey inside. Even if you just want a good cup of coffee, I would go to Riverside Vet on 79th Street!
