I'm different than a lot of web developers in that my background is in design, but I do my own hand-coding with BBEdit (I hate Dreamweaver). I love the elegant simplicity of CSS, and I've been replacing Flash functionality with jQuery scripts like Galleria and Highslide. Most of my clients have been individuals or small organizations. I've also done web development for other designers. I also do some web hosting with MediaTemple. I have designed three sites created using Flex with a developer in Brazil, but I have a feeling that Steve Jobs is not that far off when he said that Flash is outmoded and the future is HTML 5.
