this past weekend i went to the 40/40 club (my second time there) for my friend's birthday party. we had a blast in the vip room, on the dancefloor, playing pool, drinking while the hottest music played in the background. the place is very well designed, chic, and laidback. the food is quite pricey but this is new york city so it's expected. all in all i had a great time and would recommend going to the 40/40, however i have one major gripe: the waitresses are incompetent and rude! i had ordered my plate of chicken wings and, after eating most of them, was full. i had left a few on the tray to eat later on. when the waitresses (yes plural) came around and asked if they could take my plate i SPECIFICALLY told them 3 SEPARATE TIMES please leave the plate here and don't touch it. about half hour later the plate was gone! i confronted the waitress on duty and politely explained to her (in the nicest way possible without raising my voice) that she should have left it there as instructed. she counters back by saying well there was a plate with one wing on it and i took that. yea that was my plate! i paid $16 for the plate of wings you better believe i will enjoy EACH one of them! so instead of saying i appologize let me get you a few, she pleads her case (and the other waitress stands up for her) and eventually walks out the room. trust me it would not have hurt their pockets to give me back the food i had left on my plate considering we spent upwards of $700 in this spot. case and point: nice atmosphere, good place to party. but these waitresses are incompetent and unprofessional.

I EXPERIENCED THE WORST TIME TRYING TO GET A REFUND FROM THE 40 40 CLUB IN NEW YORK. I BOOKED THE REMY LOUNGE AND HAD TO CANCELL , WHICH I DID WITH IN 24 HRS. AND THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME MY MONEY. I WASNT EVEN GIVING THE CONTRACT THAT STATED THAT PART , REALLY SLICK OF THEM THEY MUST TRAIN THEM WELL OVER THERE. THAT WAS REALLY FOUL OF THEM. ANY ONE RENTING A ROOM SHOULD GIVE HALF THE MONEY DOWN AND THE OTHER HALF ON THE DAY OF PARTY.



I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE BOOK A PARTY THERE . THAT WAS SOME BULL S*** THAT WENT DOWN.
