the staff at the store is nice enough but it will take years before they will address any issues you have after they get your money. the worst customer service I have ever known. good luck to you if you have any problem after the installation.

Never had a problem with The F...

Never had a problem with The Frenchmen. Bill is extremely nice and patient and does his best to help you. I got an air conditioner here 11 years ago and it finally stopped working the other day. I went to the Frenchmen and they said, let's try to fix it first. If that's possible, then you'll end up saving a lot of money. Who does that these days? The other places I went to basically said forget about fixing it, just get a new one because if you get someone to fix it, they'll end up charging you a couple of hundred dollars anyways. Well, The Frenchmen fixed my air conditioner the next day and the repair charge was nowhere near a couple of hundred dollars.

If you don't appreciate honesty, old fashioned service and supporting a long time local business then don't go to the Frenchmen.

Oh, and if you do happen to live in Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village, you should go to the Frenchmen. They've been servicing and working with residents there forever now and know the strict regulations and protocol for the A/C's. Save you a lot of headache.
